Old Cutler Connects

During the last two years, as our church found new and different ways to remain connected with each other, we found that a simple phone call goes a long way. Our church session saw the Biblical value of connecting into the lives of our church members and desired to grow those relationships moving forward. To do so, our elders created ‘Old Cutler Connects’, a new shepherding ministry of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church and its goal is for our elders to know, feed, lead and protect you, our church family.

How it works:

1. Members of our church have been assigned to a Shepherding Team, which includes one ruling elder, a deacon, and a spiritually mature woman.

2. Your assigned elder will call you once every two months to catch up with you, see how you and your family are doing, help you grow spiritually, answer questions about church, and offer to pray for any needs you might have. Contact information for your Shepherding Team leaders will be made available to you if you need assistance prior to being contacted.

3. If in conversation, you have a specific need that a deacon or a woman is better equipped to handle, they will be contacted and available to help – and we are calling this part of the process ‘Old Cutler Cares’ which exists to provide care and support to our church family. Examples of this include a deacon assisting with putting up hurricane shutters; a woman walking alongside a wife through a family issue, or a person visiting someone in the hospital to provide company and prayer.

What if I’m not a member but want to be a part of this?

We would encourage you to consider church membership and the best way is to attend the next New Members Class which begins Sunday, March 13 at 9:00am. This class will help you learn more about the church and become better connected with others as you grow deeper in your faith in Christ.
